Kids of Steel

8am start at Athabasca Landing Pool.
Kids of steel races are designed to introduce children to the sport of triathlon. During the event, kids swim, bike, and run. The main focus of these events are for kids to do their best, have fun and finish.

*15-18 will race on Sunday with the sprint distance athletes.
Kids require a regular swim suit, bike, helmet and running gear. No special equipment is required!
Kids in the 7 & under age group ONLY are allowed parental help in the transition zone.
Advice and assistance on training is available from race organizers.
All participants are required to attend a pre-race meeting the Friday before the race.
Note: assistive devices may be used on consultation with race director
During the race:
- lifeguards and lap counters will be on deck in the pool
- volunteers will be in the transition areas to assist racers
- the bike a run paths will be clearly marked and volunteers will be on site to assist racers and control traffic
Drinks and snack will be available after the race and all racers will receive a participation award
